How to virtually stage a room
A careful four-step workflow for turning an empty-room photo into a reviewed staging concept.
1. Choose a useful source photo
Start with a clear interior photo that shows the floor, walls, openings, and the part of the room a buyer needs to understand. A wide, well-lit view gives the staging workflow more context than a crop that hides the room edges.
Only upload photographs you are authorized to process. Avoid including personal documents, security information, or people when they are not needed for the staging task.
2. Describe the room and direction
Choose the room type and a furnishing direction that suits the space. The prompt should help the result answer a practical question: how might this living room be arranged, or what could this bedroom feel like with the clutter removed?
A style direction is a starting point, not a promise that every generated object will be suitable. Generate alternatives when the first result does not give the room a truthful, useful read.
3. Compare before you download
Use the comparison view to move between the uploaded image and the generated result. Look for changes to the room’s permanent features before deciding whether the result belongs in a listing workflow.
- Reject results that alter the view, room dimensions, windows, flooring, fixtures, or visible defects.
- Check that furniture and décor do not imply something is included with the property.
- Keep the original image and any required disclosure information with the final delivery.
4. Treat publishing as a separate decision
Stageivo helps create and review an image. It cannot decide whether your local MLS, brokerage, advertising channel, or law allows a particular edit. Confirm the rules for the listing and publish only an output that has passed human review.
